SLEEPTALK TRANSMISSION is a knitting project & archive by Beatriz Gómez, visual artist exploring knitting as a way of drawing with yarn.Working with a vintage second-hand knitting machine, the project grew from a desire to reconnect with a family tradition. My grandmother, Micaela, worked with her third-hand knitting machine for years and both she and my mother taught me how to knit by hand.Learning to use this machine felt like a way of continuing that conversation across generations while developing my own visual language. What started as an extension of an illustration practice gradually became a space to investigate texture, repetition and the quiet rhythm of making.Every piece is produced in small batches using carefully selected natural fibers, chosen for their comfort and durability. This is a project that celebrates the beauty of slow making, imperfect systems and tactile everyday objects.
